Book of Lists

Kathleen threw this little Book of Lists idea out there a few weeks ago, and it immediately had my attention. This Book of Lists project is easy, and flexible, and is comprised of things I make all the time anyway – lists.

I have always wanted to be a paper crafter, but for some reason, big projects just paralyze me – I am incapable of a scrapbook. I’ve been trying Project Life, but for some reason it’s not really working for me. But! I am determined. I tried to start it with Jonas’s first birthday, but that didn’t work out. But Halloween was last week, and Jonas had a freaking blast, so I think I’m going to start with last week and just not look back. Because so what. It’s my project. Anyway – I’m drawn to this Book of Lists because it’s small chunks. I won’t be ruining Jonas’s childhood by not documenting it properly (yes, I realize that thought is stupid. But it’s what I think to myself. So instead of doing any type of memory book, I don’t do anything at all. That’s rational thought right there.). It’s cute! And fun! And each month can be a totally different looking page and doesn’t have to be cohesive at all!

I just used some light blue checked heavy cardstock paper for the cover, and added a little scalloped edge tag with “Book of lists” stamped on it to the front. As of right now, the back cover is just kraft paper like the tag. I wanted it to be easy to add pages.

Our first “list assignment” is “wish list” and we’ll be blogging it December 3rd.

My favorite part so far is seeing everyone’s take on this. I love yours, so simple and sweet!

This is a cool idea! Despite my love of paper crafts, I’ve never been a scrapbook-y person. But this seems fun and less fussy.
