Real talk: weight

Losing weight has never been easy for me. In the past, I’ve had to do crazy deprivation diets, or I’ve had to eliminate every sugar and carb out of my diet for weeks on end to see any results – things that are not sustainable. Deprivation diets leave me cranky and with blood sugar problems, leading me to not have any energy and therefore no energy at the end of the day to exercise or function. I’ve tried beach body, weight watchers, whole30/paleo. all of it. With short term results that are not sustainable. Just “eating less food” or “adding more veggies” like people talk about doesn’t work for me. I eat a lot of healthy foods and veggies. Just counting calories works for some people! I know it does. They tell me it does. But for me, and my metabolism, and it does not work at all. It was very defeating – this cycle of starving myself to see some results, and then going back to a normal diet (not all junk food – mostly healthy, whole foods!) and it all coming right back on. For a while I sort of gave up. I just felt like nothing sustainable was going to work for me. This has been a constant for my whole life.

So a few months ago I decided to take a leap of faith and try some ItWorks products. I did a ton of research on the ingredients in the ThermoFit supplement, and the majority of ingredients had published scientific research to back them up. So I went for it.

It does give me extra energy. And in the first month of use, I lost 6 lbs without changing up anything else that I was doing – regular healthy diet, some exercise a few times a week.

Then after using it for about a month, I started with a trainer at 3SFitness. I’m going to write a separate post about Abby and 3S fitness and the incredible training program and community online that she has going with that. The scale hasn’t moved much since starting but I am seeing real changes in my body this time. The difference this time I think is that now I have a metabolism boost from the ThermoFit and the extra energy to workout 4-5 times a week now. And the accountability in Abby and the community she has built.

I have only tried one wrap thing so far, and I can already see a difference in my stupid c-section baby pouch that irritates me to no end.

Anyway. I just wanted to share a little bit of my success story here, incase there’s someone else out there that has shared my struggles with weight loss and maybe wanted to try something that really did help boost my metabolism.
